Not Showing in ITunes

I have just replaced the front screen, home button, dock connector and rear cover on my iPhone 4.

Everything appears to be working, including the charging, except when i connected to iTunes, nothing appeared under devices, and therefore can't update music or sync the phone.

I am running Lion on my Macbook, and my other phone syncs with iTunes , no problem.

Please could anybody help with this dilemma. Thanks

Thanks for all the replies. If I disconnect the new dock from the logic board but leave it screwed to the iphone, will I be able connect the old dock connector, and leave it loose, but connect the USB lead and check iTunes? At least that will prove the new connector is faulty! Thanks

check that you have connected all fully, if that checks out I'd ask for a refund, as long as you have treated the dock well trying to replace it, then there is no other reason apart from faulty part.

I contacted the supplier, and they sent me a new Dock Connector. I fitted the Dock and My iPhone now Syncs perfectly with I Tunes. THanks for all your replies.

I found that you can remove the speaker housing and dock connector, without removing the logic board, if u are very careful! But please note that there is a chance of damaging the logic board, so be careful. Thanks

Put it in update mode. Here's how to do it. First, press the power and home button simultaneously. Then after about 7 seconds release the power button. It should say connect to iTunes. Then plug it into your computer and restore it. It will delete everything on the phone and put the most recent version of iOS on it. If that doesn't work try examing the connector and see if it's plugged in.
