The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display, model A1502, features fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and introduces the Force Touch trackpad.

What adaptor to get data off of SSD from Dead MCP

So after years of use (and a few minor spills) my MCP (A1502, early 2015 retina) died, won’t charge. Tried replacing macsafe port and cleaning off the board but no luck. So, buying a new macbook pro. But I need to get the data off the SSD. Can someone help me with the cheapest option that will work just to get the data off? I’m a bit confused about the pins and what adaptor will fit?

Thanks so much

These are pretty pricey for a one time use to get data off. Anything cheaper floating around?

@lavagrl - Sorry, that's what there is for new. You could look at the marketplaces for a used unit or you could buy it and then resell it.

The only other option is to find someone with the same series which will allow you to swap out the drives, then with yours inside, back up your stuff and then put the original owners SSD back in.

Just be very careful! As any errors could be even more expensive!
