Released September 20, Apple's mainstream 2019 iPhone comes with a 6.1" LCD touchscreen, dual cameras, and six available colors. Successor to the iPhone XR.

Screen goes black when reassembling

I took the phone a part and replaced my rear facing camera and my SIM card holder. After reconnecting everything and then turning the phone on to make sure everything works correctly, the screen doesn’t respond to me swiping on it but it still lights up. I then went to pop the screen back into the case and the screen goes off. I pick the screen back up and turn the phone back on and it lights up again.

The issue is when I lay the screen back on the case to pop it back in the phone turns off. I have tried to narrow down what could be causing the issue to no avail.

If anyone has any questions please let me know, thanks in advance.

If you are sure the connectors are seated properly it will most likely be a damaged LCD or touch flex. You will need to try a replacement screen as the flex cables are not replaceable.

I checked the touch flex and you were correct. There was a slight tear in it and I replaced the screen and resolved the issue. Appreciate it!
