ipad pro 12.9 3rd gen no backlight

Hello, have an ipad pro 12.9 3rd gen that fell into water six months ago.
Mainboard got cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, now it turns on fine but there is no backlight, with another screen the backlight works.
I was wondering if it’s possible to repair the screen somehow, instead of dropping 300 for a replacement.
