What are these parts on motherboard?

After water damage, I replaced the LCD and the battery. The phone seems to work perfectly, but there are two metallic shields on the motherboard that get hot when the phone is turned on, but in standby. I want to soak it in isopropyl alcohol, but I am curious what are those metallic shields covering? Do I have to remove them to have better access?

@forzal those are EMI shields. They are usually desoldered. You can use a hot air station or a very large tip on your soldering iron to do so. Of course you can always use some cutting instruments like some sharp scissor. Check videos like this to get an idea how its done.
