Woofer on one tower speaker rattles with deep, loud bass

The 10 inch woofer on one tower speaker (Boston Acoustic T930) rattles with deep, loud bass. I replaced the foam on this woofer and did not do a perfect job leaving a slight ripple in the foam. Could this be the problem, or is the cone or speaker likely damaged? Other than on deep, loud bass the speaker sounds fine.

I also found several small sections of the foam that were not snugly secured to the speaker, so I added glue there, and all seems ok so far.
