I use an Instax Mini 70. My film counter doesn't display the whole number. It gets difficult to read the number and figure out how many films are left. I changed the batteries as well. The problem still persists. Please let me know if there is a solution to this problem.
The first photo is number 10 and the second photo is number 9

It looks like you will need a replacement display. Do you know how to take the camera apart?

@andrewsawesome No I don't. And I'm not too sure about the Instax service centres that are around me. Any idea why this happens?

I was having the same issue for some time and now the number on the display are completely gone :(
Same thing happened to me, the numbers and display are gone, dont know what to do
The same happened to me. Now its blank, not even modes show up :(
