Pieces of metal in drum

Hey,

After a wash I occasionally fine small pieces of rusty metal (size of a pea) in the drain tub. The pieces are too big to fit in the drain holes, so it’s not from the tub itself.

Does anyone know where these pieces of rusty metal may be coming from?
