Problem at connecting the LCD

Hello, i am having a problem at the last time when i tried to replace the lcd of my old phone (that had water damage then i was replacing the parts damaged), at the first time with the old lcd the phone was working but i acidentally broke it (the lcd, not the connector) and i had to buy a new one when i connected it to the phone, the phone didnt turn on until i disconnected it so i started to check all possible solution like pressing the home and power button but nothing happen, literally the phone is dead but when i disconnect the new Lcd it came back to live (PS: The battery drains faster when the new lcd screen is connected, even if it is plugged in, the cell phone loses battery, i tried buying another lcd but the phone keeps doing the sma thing)

(sorry for my grammar, i am not very good at speaking english)
