iPhone wont boot after battery replacement-display turns off in 2 sec

Just tried replacing the battery of my daughter’s iphone 6s plus. After I connected the battery and all ribbon cables from display and powered on, apple logo shows up and then turns off again.

I’ve tried

  • Removing/reconnecting all ribbon cables again to check if I missed something.
  • Soft reset (home+sleep).

Any other troubleshooting tips?

Would greatly appreciate any help!

Does the Apple logo flash on and off every few seconds with the phone plugged in? If so try disconnecting then reconnecting the battery connector, making sure it’s fully seated.
if that doesn’t work, try the old battery. If your old one works, then the battery you ordered is faulty.

Display just flashes once and then goes blank. I tried re-installing the old battery and now even with that getting the same issue.

Looks like I may have messed up one of the connectors when I removed the display/related cables?

Have you tried checking the new battery for the voltage output?

Use any external charger to charge the battery for a while (30 minutes)

Put the phone on charge and let it sit for a while before you try to boot it.

Bottom line: Maybe the battery is deep discharged and requires a recalibration.
