Phone got run over by a car, is it worth trying to repair it?

Hi,

my xiaomi got run over by a car. It seems like everything works apart from the display, which is shattered. Touchscreen, back camera, buttons and calls work. I can’t tell for the front camera but i had problems with the camera already before the incident. The frame is broken just a little bit close to one corner. Considering the original price of 150 € it doesnt seem worth paying the 100€ to have the display repaired by a professional. Is it possible that the battery has a damage that is not yet visible? I don’t want it to inflate, explode or burn for example. Also the exchange part alone costs 60 €. I have never done any repairs of this kind by myself and fear to break even more if i lay hands on this phone. Now my question: Is it worth trying to repair it myself or should i rather buy a new phone and spare myself the time and money?

Thank you kindly for your advice!

Honestly I personally would replace it. Screen is destroyed, the battery could very well be compromised, and it is broken near one corner. Who knows what else might be going wrong with it that will pop up later? If the cost of repairs is that similar I would just replace it.
