Can you take out its processor?

I am stripping this laptop for parts I got its ram and hard drive out but I cant get the processor out. Is it supposed to come out

(It's beyond repairable I'm just getting useable parts)

@crazymoosemoon Majority of consumer, end use lapptops don’t have replacement CPUs but wait I am checking.

Hi @crazymoosemoon ,

The CPU is hard mounted on the motherboard so it is not easily removable and would be difficult to insert somewhere else.

Here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop.

This shows how to dis-assemble and remove all the removable parts.

All very well to desolder it but then the buyer would have to solder it back on to a different compatible motherboard. Either way not easy for beginners. You could end up destroying both the CPU and the motherboard

@jayeff I could probably figure it out, but a lot of boards like the i7 Dell boards have extra VRM that's omitted from the i5 board - even my 7490 is like this. In addition to the CPU, you need to modify the VRM.
