i have an Acer Aspire A515-51G . since I got this laptop, my usage requirements are increased. I was wondering what components of this machine I can upgrade.

You can upgrade the RAM and Storage(Hard Drive/Solid State Drive) on this laptop. This laptop supports a maximum of 20 GB of RAM using one RAM module.

I have a Aspire 5 A 515 - 43, which I think is pretty similar of course ymmv.
I upgraded my RAM. You can also upgrade the stock ssd and I was able to install a second SSD as well.
Wifi card is also upgradable.
Of course do your research before purchasing anything. : )

I've just replaced the M2 SATA drive with a 1TB Kingston NV2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M2 drive which appears to be compatible. Am restoring the Windows 10 installation at he moment with Macrium Reflect 8 off a restore USB stick.
All went well. Kingston NVMe drive works well. Nice and fast also.
