Dead and won't charge

When attempting to charge phone got a message of detect moisture. Disconnected charger while phone slowly died. Now dead and refuses to charge.

@lmtascha this error message usually pops up because the system detects moisture or water in the USB charging port. I would start off with using a blow dryer and see if that will “dry out” the port. Clean the port of any debris since that can generate this error as well. The other thing you can try is to turn off your phone and connect the charger then turn on your phone. It should now charge. Ultimately, it could be moisture/dirt in the charging port, real moisture if you got it wet, a damaged charging port or it could be software related. Start with the easy stuff first. Let us know what you find.

This is going to sound crazy I know, but after you dry it out and it won’t charge or turn on, put it ona Samsung wireless charging pad with a USB hookup without fast charge plugged into the phone at the same time. Keep it on, as long as up to 3 weeks. It’ll be charged all of a sudden
