Touch only working partially after replacing Digitizer

Block Image

Hello Community :)

I have replaced a Broken Digitizer of the iPad 6.

After reassembly, the screen works only in certain areas and keeps swiping to the left on its own (sometimes)

The home button works.

I used a digitizer that has isolated “wiring” around the glass.

uploaded a screen shot of the areas of the screen which work.

If you pay close attention to the lines, diagonal lines also get wavy and “merge “ at similar areas so something is very wrong or faulty.

I wanted to seek ideas / help here before opening it again.

Thanks for any hints

Greetings

Premium Trade of course you always want to double check your work and make sure everything is connected tight and proper. Ultimately I would consider replacing the replacement Digitizer since this seems to be an issue with the ’grid’ within the digitizer.

Hi, thank you for the quick response,

I just had the thought: might it be the case that each of the 2 digitizer connectors are responsible for different areas of the grid and therefore it could be one of them not sitting tight causing this issue?

Is that how the grid works in principle?

yes absolutely is that possible.
