Can you find the serial number from the motherboard?

Is it possible that I can find the serial number of my iPod from my iPod's motherboard? I don't have the case.

I am somewhat confused on this. You have a logic board but not a case? You would like the serial number for the Nano of the motherboard? Only if you access the IC's with a reader/programmer otherwise there is no way. Let us know what you are trying to do, and we might get you some answers.

Not exactly. The case was scratched so badly that I couldn't see the serial number, so I tried to take it apart to see if there was a serial number on the logic board. I need the serial number for a replacement program for faulty iPod batteries. Unfortunately, my iPod would not power on or connect to iTunes. I just need the serial number to get a possible replacement. Thanks!

sorry, can't get the number unless you can get it a. powered up or b. get some sort of IC's reader..
