Spilt Maccas OJ on my iPhone!

Help! I spilt maccas oj on my iphone 3gs and now the screen is dim and the speaker isn't working although the person on the other line can hear me! So devastated! Someone told me to submerge it in uncooked rice for a day so I have just done that...any other suggestions?

Dis-assemble your phone and thoroughly clean the boards and connectors with a high content rubbing alcohol. Unfortunately it sounds like you were playing with it after it got liquid in it (and before you dried it) so some parts may be fried, but a good cleaning and thorough visual inspection is a good first step! Let us know what you find.

Follow the advice given by Phillip Takahashi and here is a guide Repairing iPhone Liquid Damage to help you with it. It shows a 3G but is essentially the same for your phone. Good Luck
