Why is the phone doesn’t charge

Hi guys.

I just opened the phone myself, I don’t know if I put the main flex in the opposite way. It charged for a while and the device get hot. Now it doesn’t turn on anymore, could plugging the main flex in the opposite way damage and burn the whole phone?
