2017 MacBook Pro Doesn’t Restart

I decided to upgrade the 128gb SSD on my Mac to the Sabrent 512GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 using this adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RCMJJHX?ref...

I was able to format and install MacOS Big Sur successfully, however during installation the system wouldn’t automatically reboot instead just shutdown until I pressed the power button. Also when I restart from Apple Logo in the top left corner the system wouldn’t reboot until I pressed the power button and I’m thrown two errors that says, “You shut down your computer because of a problem” and “Your computer was restarted because of a problem.”

Answer this question I have this problem too

Put the original drive back in, does that work?

Yes that fixes the problem, so it’s definitely the 512GB SSD. Should I return the SSD and adapter for another brand?

Sadly, here’s no options other than another Apple SSD as its a custom part!

Here’s one source Apple 512 GB SSD or Apple 1 TB SSD
