Blade engagement in highest position

At highest cut position blade will not engage

Most mowers have belt driven blades. Once you lower the blades to any position, the blades are driven at the same speed. Carefully examine the belt drive to determine if the belt is good, or if the mechanism is not engaging it properly.

BTW, do it with the engine not running to save having to reattach your hands.
