Your system can support macOS High Sierra (10.13.6) which is the highest OS supported.

To get it you’ll need to get the OS installer from here How to get old versions of macOS. You’ll need to create a bootable OS installer from another Mac system following this guide How to create a bootable macOS High Sierra installer drive

Then boot up using it using the Option (⌥) key to get to the Startup Manager so you can select it as the boot drive

@hakarou321 - Is your system booting up at all with the OS it has?

by

Nothing when it boots I just get a folder on the screen or I can try booting to internet recovery

@hakarou321 - See if Option-Command-R works or Shift-Option-Command-R
