If your battery connections are corroded, you can remove the battery, and carefully wipe the corrosion from the battery socket inside the camera with a damp (not wet) paper towel. If the problem does not resolve, you can try lightly sanding the spring inside the camera. However, if you choose to sand it, you need to remove any metal dust from the camera before you re-install the batteries and power the camera on. If your camera still doesn’t work, you can try replacing the batteries themselves.

@Linda Coyle If you have replaced the batteries and removed any corrosion, then the issue is likely internal. It is possible that the on/off switch is broken. In that case, you would need to take the camera apart and manually close the switch, to see if it turns the camera on. If that doesn't work, it is possible the motherboard has suffered some sort of damage, such as a broken capacitor. Here are guides on how to repair your camera, and open it if you choose to do so: Nikon Coolpix L330

battery corrosion is best neutralized and cleaned with vinegar. Use that on a Q tip. If still tarnished after drying use sandpaper to scratch the syrfaces.
