Can I use the A1708 displays with an A1706 MacBook?
I heard you can use an A1708 display on an A1706 MacBook but the webcam won’t work. Is this true? Thanks.

For reference here’s the 2016/17 MacBook Pro TouchBar (A1706) displays:
- 13” MacBook Pro Complete Display - Space Grey, Apple P/N 661-07970
- 13” MacBook Pro Complete Display - Silver, Apple P/N 661-07971
And here’s the 2016/17 MacBook Pro Fn (A1708) displays:
- 13” MacBook Pro Complete Display - Space Grey, Apple P/N 661-07970
- 13” MacBook Pro Complete Display - Silver, Apple P/N 661-07971
So what is the difference??? Are you thinking of a different series?
