After removing the screen, how to replace the headphone jack?

I need to replace the headphone jack on my 12.9” 1st gen iPad pro. I found that ifixit has the tools and replacement parts, but I can’t find a guide to do it. Is there another device that has a similar guide so I can piece together what I need to do? Is it as simple as replacing the component after the display has been removed? Any guidance would be useful. Thanks!

Hey,

The headphone jack is on the top left corner of the iPad and you need to remove 3 screws to remove the jack and then all you need is a replacement jack to fix it back up! To remove the connector side of thing first you need to remove the EMI Shielding as mentioned in the iFixit guide in step 10 and then you need to disconnect the headphone jack cable! Take a look at step 11 in the iFixit guide as it will help you in locating the headphone jack connector :D
