Issue with brand new battery install

Block Image

I purchased the battery install kit, and had no problems as far as getting it installed. Followed the steps afterwards to properly charge it the first time around. I noticed at around 65% charge left, the battery level jumped down to 8% out of nowhere. Not really sure what happened but now I’m worried the battery isn’t any good.

Has anyone run into this problem before? The battery info says the battery is in good health so, not really sure what to think. Here is more info on the battery though:

I added the screenshot of coconut battery as well. I just realized this seems to be a common issue with Ifixit batteries, for whatever reason.

I don’t see any issues with this battery currently.

Are you sure you saw something which might be just normal as your system was active on something without your knowing so it ran the battery down.

I would take another snapshot when you see it again.

It looks completely fine, but it isn't. I just followed the steps like it said after you replace the battery. im going to try the 'Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC' in hopes that makes it better.

I read so many good things about Ifixit batteries but, never expected it to have issues with this. At this point, I'll just accept it cause I don't feel like requesting a replacement from Ifixit and ripping the battery out again.
