1998 Frontier wont stay running

when I push the gas pedal, it dies!!..seems like something is clogged up

Check your fuel filter. Probably needs replaced. If that doesn't solve it check fuel pressures to see if your fuel pump is going bad. It sounds like it can't get enough fuel when calling for more.

Thank you!..I changed the fuel filter which was a 16 min job, and I’m a girl…so it was FUN!!..and that worked!.the truck had been sitting for awhile, and the gas was old and turned to goo,…so I put some fuel stabilizer and a new filter and it fired right up!!…yay!!..if I have anymore questions I’ll give ya hollar!…hehe

If it has been sitting a long time, I would highly recommend emptying the tank and filling with new. Use a good fuel treatment to make sure everything is cleaned of varnish from sitting fuel. Fuel filters aren't fun, but they aren't as bad as some things. Even my old chevy isn't horrible. Isn't easy but not horrible.
