Okay, I used the awesome tutorial and replaced the left joystick on the switch, it works great but now I can’t get the above listed things to work. I’ve taken it all apart and put it back twice and once the power button worked but not the volume. Any ideas?

My best guess is that you have maybe missed the yellow ribbon cable that runs between the daughterboard and the main board.
Otherwise, there is damage to the connectors or cable itself. The fact that the whole of that side in not functioning is good (relatively speaking…).
May I ask how you know the volume, and ZL and L buttons are working if power doesn’t?

Did you fix the problem yet?
I have the same issue after replacing the joystick, new ribbon cable didn´t change anything!
Minus button

Cross to the right
Power
And Volume Buttons
Dont work at all
I can turn the Switch on by plugging it into the charging cable

by "cross to the right", do you mean the plus button?
I mean the DPAD sorry my fault. Up, Down and Left work but not right.
In my case I hadn't clicked down the daughter board connector cable to the main board. (Bottom of switch.. over battery connector) once I had taken off the cover and shield simply reseating that cable worked.
If more than one thing on the daughter board is not working then it'd highly like that the cable is not seated correctly or is broken
