XR Not charging but starts, not Charging IC

Hi!


I have a weird case. Got in two phones from the same customer. One iPhone XR and one 8p. Both have the EXACT same failure. They take no charge at all, shows 0.01A when i connect it to charger. If i plug in a fresh battery or DC power the phone works great.


I have used ICC pro wich tells me both dock flex and charging IC works fine. I have messure the diode value on dock FPC and batt FPC, everything looks fine.


Any idea what possible could be the reason here?

Firstly don’t completely rely on Tristar testers. You will need to rule out the dock assembly. What does the battery info show in 3uTools?

For the XR I have only had to replace the Tristar once it is usually Tigris and or the charging coils I now replace them all.

The 8 plus I would replace Tigris and maybe Q3350.
