D-Pad squeaky when pressed

Lately when I use my GBA SP the D-Pad is slightly squeaky and harder to press. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi!

Most of the times it’s caused by the rubber for the buttons. I would order some new rubbers for all the buttons and replace them. BUT, this can also be caused by the actual button(s) soldered on the motherboard. If this is the case, you need to de-solder the broken button(s) and replace it with a new button(s). This can be difficult if you don’t have any soldering experience. Otherwise I would bring it to a repair shop.

Alright, I'll get a triwing and see if I can determine this. I'll update once that happens.
