several keyboards are not woking

this is extremely frustrating and I am writing this on an external keyboard. My internal keyboard has several letters that need to be pressed multiple times before they decide to appear on the screen. ‘R’ ‘T’ ‘Y’ ‘U’ ‘I’ ‘O’ I’m a writer so you could imagine how I’m slowly losing my mind. I did clean these keys by removing the key and then cleaning out the gunk underneath (without an air dust) and when I fixed it back up, nothing has changed (granted some keys take shorter time to respond than before). Please PLEASE help me out.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Your keyboard is made up with columns and rows like a spreadsheet. In your case the row line has failed.

Do you have one key which is worse than the others? That key is shorting across its column line with the row line so the other keys when they are pressed are not registering there state correctly.

At this point You’ll need to replace the keyboard. This is a big job you may want to fid someone who’s replaced Mac keyboards before or try to find an uppercase 11” MacBook Air 11" Top Case with Keyboard (Mid 2011) Here’s the guide to put it in MacBook Air 11" Mid 2011 Upper Case Replacement
