Is it normal for my battery to need serviced after 1 year?

Hi, I replaced my battery last year with an ifixit battery, which has been great until recently. I‘ve just noticed it draining quickly and I noticed in the battery menu it says service battery. Checked Coconut battery and this is the results if someone could make sense of some of it, i understand it roughly has 1000 cycles on average etc. Does it need replaced again? or are there any other solutions? would like to think it would last longer than 1 year. Thanks

That looks like a defective battery, that or it's not OEM and maybe the software isn't reading it correctly, take the back cover off and see if the battery is bloated, or normal sized but wrinkly.

Not a MAC person, these are just my ideas and suggestions from past experiences I had with repairing them, so take this comment with a grain of salt.

Aye I took the bottom cover off last night and one of the cells is swollen. Should be in warranty from ifixit as it's one of their batteries. Sucks
