PowerA controller not pairing

Hi, I had to send my joycons to get fixed (drift much) and I had a PowerA enhanced wireless controller connected and paired to the switch so I kept on using it and had no problem even without the joycons. Until I decided to try and connect it to my PC and to do so I unpaired from the switch, now I'm trying to connect back to the switch and it does not pair! Has anyone seen this before? Do I need the joycons to pair it back? I'm using the touch controls in the change grip order to pair it with no luck, I already followed the steps correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Trying the “find controllers” feature could work to connect them, or maybe if the controller has a sync button try that. I don’t know if you have the power-A controller that uses batteries or has the usb-c port, but if it can run with a wire try that maybe. I hope that helps somewhat

I have the one with batteries, no wire connection possible. I tried the sync button and the lights in controller indicate it is in syncing mode but it never comes up in the switch in the change order/grip screen! Thanks for the answer though ?

I guess find controllers is your best bet, since you didn't mention that you tried that. If the switch remembers a controller, and you hold on it in the menu, as long as the controller is nearby and has battery power it is forced to connect. I had this same issue on my pro controller a while back
