You probably have corrupted the boot files but let’s check out these other things first as you should be able to access the BIOS/UEFI.

Unplug charger from laptop, take battery out and press power button to discharge all power from computer.

Plug in charger and turn on. What happens?

Turn off.

Unplug charger, install battery and turn on. What happens?

Turn off.

Now plug in charger and turn on. What happens?

By looking at the Power and Battery LED’s you will know more about what is happening:

Power Indicator Light

  • Off = System is off.
  • Blue = System is on.
  • Amber flashing = S3 state.

Battery Light

  • Amber flashing = battery low charge.
  • Amber (not flash) = Battery charging.
  • Blue = battery is fully charged.
