I am going to replace my iPhone 8 Plus front camera & proximity sensor flex cable. I heard that true tone would be disabled when the display or the front camera and proximity sensor were replaced. Is this true?

Hi! @mylesuy It is true that when you replace the screen, true tone will be disabled. I actually don't know if it works the same way for the proximity sensor.

If you want to replace the screen (without losing true tone) you need a special device to copy the code from your old screen to your new screen.

I don't know if this is the same on the proximity sensor, but I suggest you keep it, just in case.

I hope someone else will be able to help you further!
