Why won't my scree turn on even when connected to an external monitor?

Hi,
The laptop may be stuck in sleep mode, hence the blinking power light
Try holding the power button operated >4 seconds to shut the laptop down.
When it has stopped blinking, connect the charger to the laptop and then try turning the laptop on and check .

I had the exact problem on 2-14 and I fixed it by resenting the ram
