Internal Rotation magnet location?

I recently repaired the digi on a droid 1, and now the device thinks that it is constantly opened to the keyboard, even when it is closed. In most sliders, there is an internal magnet allowing the device to sense when it is open or closed, but i am not sure if the droid has a similar set up. If so, where would such a magnet be located? Ideas?
