Battery decrease after replacing

Block Image

I recently just replaced the battery. After only 7 charges the new battery is already at 97% capacity despite staring at 107%. Is this one just defective or what? I did calibrate it correctly as well.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Well, the good news your issue is not the battery! Your charging logic on your logic board has failed! Often we find a knockoff charger burns the comparator logic so SMC can’t tell what’s going on so it just stops!

You’ll need to get your system to someone who can fix your logic board and a new charger, here’s the only source I trust Apple 60W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter (MacBook Pro with 13-inch Retina display) what is sold on Amazon or eBay are 95% knockoffs! Even when the seller says otherwise!

Strange, for I am using an official Apple charger.

@tyefr78 - Even I can't tell which is which visually! The only way I know of is using a good scale and weighing a known real unit and the one in question. The heaver unit was the real one.

Oh, no this is one I bought from the Apple store.

Then you must have gotten your system wet at some point as the SMC chip and the resistors it depends on to compare the level are near it and some what exposed to drips from the keyboard area.

Ah, okay, thanks. Would you recommend bringing it in to a repair shop or am I besting a dead horse at this point?
