Why can't I add files to my new Toshiba external drive?
My mac recognizes the drive but when I try to add files a sign of blocked appears

Try reformatting the disk in a Mac-friendly file system. Make sure all connections are proper. Some drives have a read-only mode. Check to see that is not the case.
