Monitor shows blank screen. Backlight works.

Hi,

i have a Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor 32”. The monitor only shows a blank screen and the OSD menu doesn´t show up on button press. The background lights of the screen are working.

I tried different cables(HDMI and DP) and PCs/notebooks. It gets detected by the PCs, but doesn´t show any input.

Couldn´t find any similar issues on the web and in the manual:

What could be the broken component and where could I get replacement components?

Is it possible to repair?

EDIT: Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor 34” NOT 32”

Hi @siggismallz,

It sounds as though the mainboard or the connection between the mainboard and the screen has a problem, given that you’re not seeing the OSD menus either.

You would need to open the monitor to gain access to the mainboard to first check that the internal cable connections are OK, i.e. mainboard to screen and also to find the “board number” of the mainboard, which is printed on the board itself.

If the cable connections seem to be secure, then once that you have found the mainboard’s board number, search online using it to find a replacement. Alternatively, search for Xiaomi (insert monitor’s model number) mainboard to hopefully get results.

I searched online for Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor 32” parts but only got results for their new 34” model and the manual that you linked is also for a 34” model so that model number was no good either.

I have never opened a curved screen TV or monitor before but would imagine that you would have to be more careful than with a flat screen, so that you don’t flex the screen too much and damage it in the process of opening it up.

Thank you for your reply. I made a mistake - it´s a 34" monitor not 32".
