No LCD power after digitizer replacement

I have replaced a cracked digitizer on this iPad previously (and have done this on a number of iPads so I have some experience). This time, it cracked from being dropped on a hard floor. I noticed that the power button had also stopped working. I didn’t bother to attempt this repair this time.

I pulled the cracked digitizer off, no issues, plugged the new one in, replugged the LCD in (which had worked just fine), and there’s apparently no power to the LCD. When pressed, the home button causes the beep-beep of Siri coming on so I know there is power and something is working, I just can’t get the LCD to come back. Any suggestions are appreciated. Somehow, I don’t think replacing the power and volume button would fix this issue but I will attempt it next.

Shine a torch on the screen to see if it has an image, could possibly be a backlight issue. Also check around the connectors for any missing components.
