It’s possible that your screen is damaged in some way, or there might be a temporary issue with your screen.
Try holding the home and power button down together for 10 seconds to power cycle your device. If your screen doesn’t light up then there is probably damage to the screen. Try testing a known good screen with your phone to see if it lights up.
