Power Button Not Working

Hello,

I was hoping that you could steer me in the right direction. I am in the the United States and about a year ago, I spilled water on my macbook pro. The only damage that I have sustained is that the power button does not work. If it shuts down, I have to open it and do an SMC reset to get it to power on. I have swapped out the logic board and that did NOT fix the problem. Do you have any suggestions? The computer works perfectly fine except for the power button. Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Sounds like the keyboard got the worse of it ;-{

The best thing is just replace the uppercase assembly Top Case Assembly and here’s the guide to put in it MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Upper Case Replacement

It’s a bit of a job but replacing the keyboard alone wouldn’t be much of a saving given all of the added work.
