Plastic part needs replacing.

The attached part fell out of my PIXMA MX922 printer when I was clearing a paper jam. The printer still works. Does anyone know what the part is and how to replace it if it is possible.

Thanks

From the look of it, it appears to be a lever where the left side is a pivot point and the middle is a leg that holds the lever up. If you have a tray that no longer stays up, then this part may be the issue. Sorry my answer isn’t more definitive.

Thanks, I dont appear to have any loose paper trays but I will take a look to see if anything appears to be missing in that area.

My printer is a Pixma MX715, so not the same. But is has a heavy scanner unit (with ADF) which has to be held up in order to replace ink tanks underneath. When you lift it up a lever swings down to act like a prop. So the lever is only attached at the pivot and you would not notice it was missing unless you wanted the scanner to be held up. Also the design is not the same as your photo. Worth checking?
