Why isn't my screen working after 2 replacements?

I recently decided to fix a Google Pixel 4 XL screen. I had ordered the Part kit, I had installed the part and it didn’t work. So I contacted support, got another one sent to me under warranty and it didn’t work either. Im lost, I’ve never had 2 bad screens if that’s the issue at all even. I did discover that the battery connector was cracked and broke off when plugging it back in the last and final time after installing the second screen. Could that be the issue? When plugged in it makes the chime noise and the computer recognizes it but nothing on the screen. Thanks so much in advance!

Hi,

Try shining a torch at an angle close to the screen when the phone is on and check if any images are visible.

They will be very faint if they are there at all so trying this in a darkened room may help.

If you can detect images then there is a backlight problem.

Since you have replaced the screen twice it appears to be on the systemboard.

Most phones have a fuse that feeds the backlight power to the screen.

Unfortunately I don't know where it is located on your phone and I can't find any schematics either.

You could try checking components located near the display flex cable connection on the board. Just a thought.
