Am I using this correctly?

I just received the portable anti-static mat, with included grounding cord and wrist strap. I also bought the ESD ground plug adapter.

I'm paranoid, and I just want to double check I'm using everything correctly, lol.

So, I snap the grounding cord into one of the snaps on the mat, then plug the other end of the cord into the ground plug adapter, and plug that into a grounded outlet, right? There are two holes on the base of the cord that snaps into the mat, (see photo), is this where I can plug in my wrist strap?

Yes

You’re not paranoid. If you were really paranoid, you would also ensure that the power outlet is earthed (grounded - supplier example only), and not just assume that it is. ;-)
