Bought last year, no liquid damage. Every time i disconnect the charger from my MacBook it turns off, and cannot run solely on it’s battery. I’ve tried PRAM reset, SMC reset and the battery status is normal and a cycle count of 28. Is there a solve to this? Battery now slowly depleting, at 21%.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Here you go. :)

Is the battery a third-party or a original one from Apple?

by

How can I tell?, probably third party I have no idea.

The battery is only a little over a year old. When you have Coconut Battery open, click on the box that says battery to get more info on it. It shows it is connected but not charging.

What I see is the charger is connected by the charger is not charging the battery (0 Watts)!

It this point this is looking like a logic board problem with the charging MOSFET’s and/or SMC logic is not turning them on.

This will require deeper skills as you need to find someone with the tools and access to the needed parts to fix your logic board.

So what can I do?

Find someone with the deeper skills to fix your logic board. Do you have any independent Mac repair shops near you? This is beyond a DIY without the schematics and board views, the ability to read them, having the needed tools and access to the small SMT devices which are on your logic board.

OR... Replace the logic board
