Can I use a MacBook Pro 2010 LCD in a 2009 model?

I have a macbook pro 2010 that is broken with a good screen and a 2009 with a ripped off screen that works and I am wondering if I can swap the screen from the 2010 to the 2009. Thanks

Often I find looking up a given part can help me figure out if its compatible with the system I’m working on. In this case if we look up the iFixit part MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2009-Mid 2010) Display Assembly we can see it lists both the 2009 and 2010 systems

So as long as the two systems are on this list you’re good!

BTW: here’s the iFxiti guide to replace it MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2009 Display Replacement
