Why is my heater blowing cold air while idling?

I’ve noticed over the last two weeks, just as it’s gotten cold of course, that my heater is blowing cold air while at idle. The heater works well while the car is in motion.

Options

Sounds like you have low coolant in the system. I would check the level in the system.
