Dell n5010 Core i5

I replaced my labtop charging port .. it's done and worked perfectly .

But when i turned on the labtop I found the wifi not working so i checked the 2 antennas of the wifi card .. and the wifi card drivers from device manager .. but no benefit .

Note 1:

The wifi was working normally befor the repair .

Note 2:

Before the repairing ,the LAN port wasn't working also .. so I re-weld it by the soldering iron .. and it's worked too.

Now when i put the internet cable .. the internet working well .. but the wifi still not working !!

Can anybody help me ?

Update (10/22/2020)

I took out the wifi card and cleaned it and it worked fine .

Thanks alot

Hi @orabi500

What is the status of the WLAN adapter in Device Manager?

Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters > right click on the WLAN entry > Properties > General and check the Device Status box in the middle.

Does it say " This device is working properly"?

Hi .. Thanks jeyeff

yes it says " This device is working properly"

@orabi500

Try placing the laptop as close as possible to the WiFi router (30-60cm) and check if it picks up the signal from the router.

I realize that you said that you checked the antenna cable connections but if the network shows up then it could be an antenna problem.

The fact that Device Manager shows that it is working properly means that the OS can communicate with the WLAN OK so that part of the card and card connections are OK

@jayeff

It dosn't picks any networks at all

I attached an image on the post .. can you see the red X ?

@orabi500

So just verifying that this is also with the laptop very very close to the router?
