freezer starts to warm and will not cool.

my Kitchenaid freezer starts to warm and will not cool. My fix was to turn both the fridge and freezer controls off, then flip compressor switch. I apparently works for awhile. i had a technician look at it and he said everything was woking fine. 3 days later no so good. Repeated the reset process and it works again. I've had to do at least once a day since. Technician is coming back out again at the end of the week. Help???

Jerry Griffith, if it does cool and freeze, then we know the compressor does work. Do you keep the coils underneath i the back clean? When you take the back panel off is the compressor hot to touch? Are coils dirty? A shop vac will clean them. Have you been hearing a clicking noise?

There could be several different reasons why it’s not cooling consistently. Watch for frost or ice on the back wall, or water under the drawers, listen for the freezer fan and condenser fan. Condenser fan cools the compressor. It runs when compressor runs. Keep us updated. Thanks!
